Privacy Policy

Chronology Builder is designed so that I hold as little of your information as possible. This policy explains what little I do process, and your rights.

Your chronology never leaves your device

Everything you type into the chronology, including case details, party names and chronology entries, is processed locally in your web browser. The Word document is generated on your device, and work saved with the Save Project feature is stored as a file on your own device. Your chronology is not uploaded to me or to anyone else. There is no server that receives it, and I cannot see it.

No account, no personal data

No account is needed to use the tool, and there is no account system to sign in to. I do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address or any other personal detail. I do not send marketing emails, and I do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Fonts and libraries

The site loads the JavaScript libraries that generate your documents from public content delivery networks. Those networks receive standard web request information, such as your IP address, but none of your chronology content.

Who I am

The data controller is Sarah Okafor, practising barrister in England and Wales, trading as Chambers of Sarah Okafor. ICO registration: ZA226741. Contact: [email protected].

Retention

I do not hold any account or personal data about you, so there is nothing of yours for me to keep or delete. I keep no copies of your chronologies at any time.

Your rights

Because I do not collect or hold personal data about you, there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe I hold information about you, you have the rights under UK GDPR to access, correct, delete and port it, and to object to or restrict processing. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, email me at the address above.
